Judy Kaltenbacher


Judy has been in public accounting since 1985, with significant experience serving financial institutions, real estate partnerships, S Corporations, medical + dental practices, nonprofit organizations and small business clients. Judy’s experience with banks and financial institutions began while working at Deloitte & Touche in 1986 and her involvement continued at SKR+CO as she worked on several banks in Colorado Springs, Calhan and along the Front Range.

Judy has an extensive background with S Corporation tax returns across all industries including banks and financial institutions, real estate entities, manufacturing companies and family groups. She is well-versed in all supporting schedules (e.g., schedule M-3, schedule D, Forms 4562, 8825 and 4797) and has completed graduate course work with S Corporations. Judy will be a four-time attendee of the Annual Bank and Capital Markets Tax Institute, after the November 2018 conference. She is the firm’s tax partner in charge, is experienced with providing tax planning for high net worth individuals and chairs the firm’s medical + dental practice group.

Professional and Community Involvement

Judy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA). She participates in the Pikes Peak Chapter of the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management (PAHCOM) and is the past treasurer of the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation. She has also served as treasurer of the corporate board of Newborn Hope and is on the finance committee of several boards including S.E.T. of Colorado Springs and the Better Business Bureau. Judy serves on the Colorado Springs Business Journal Women of Influence (WOI) planning and selection committee and is on the board for the Fire Foundation of Colorado Springs.
