Chris holds himself to the highest standard with hard work, intelligence, trust and putting himself in his client’s shoes. He spent 15+ years of his career working in restaurants learning the meaning of hard work, team work, time management, communication and building relationships with people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
Since beginning his public accounting career in 2006, Chris has continued to apply these vital skills that have contributed to the success that he has achieved during his career as a Certified Public Accountant. He currently works with small businesses by implementing strategic plans to create efficiencies, manage cash flow and ultimately increase the value and sustainability of their companies. He also provides consultation services to clients in a variety of tax areas including Federal income taxes, state income tax planning and entity restructuring in order to minimize tax liabilities.
Chris also holds an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) certification. Issued by the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, this certification signifies the achievements of individuals in the real estate finance industry for their pursuit of educational excellence, high ethical standards and commitment to professionalism.
Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA), the Colorado Restaurant Association, the Colorado Association of Business Intermediaries, the Alternative Business Networking Group and the Colorado Professional’s Network (COPROs).
Chris currently resides in Centennial, Colorado with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs, Salem and Charlie. In his free time away from the office, Chris enjoys hiking in the Colorado Mountains, playing soccer and golf, as well as dining out and traveling with his family.
Ann has been in public accounting since 1986. Her specialties include estate planning, estate and gift tax and the taxation of trusts.
Ann is member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA). Ann is certified as an Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®), a designee by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC). She is a member of the Probate Section of the El Paso County Bar Association, a member and past President of the Estate Planning Council of Colorado Springs and serves on the Pikes Peak Community Foundation Practice Advisors Council.
Ann enjoys reading, gardening and travel.
Buddy has been in public accounting since 2008 and specializes in serving auto dealers, construction clients and high-net worth individuals. He also provides business valuation services and maintains his designation as a certified valuation analyst through the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts® (NACVA®).
Buddy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA) and UCCS Alumni Association. He also volunteers as a reserve deputy for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and serves as treasurer at the Home Front Military Network. A passionate supporter of the Colorado Springs community, Buddy was honored as a Rising Star in 2016. Buddy was recognized as a 40 under Forty Award by National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts® (NACVA®) in 2019.
In 2022, Buddy was honored by Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) as an industry Rising Star. CFMA, the only nonprofit dedicated to the success and growth of construction financial professionals, annually recognizes leaders under 40 years old for their positive impact on companies and the construction industry.
Buddy enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, movies and volunteering.
Matt has been in public accounting since 2005. He has served a wide range of individual and business clients and has extensive experience in the real estate, construction, natural resources, franchising, manufacturing + distribution, retail, professional services, and technology industries. Matt has assisted numerous clients with entity structuring, complex partnership allocations, section 704(b)/waterfall liquidation/targeted capital analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and section 1031 exchanges.
Matt is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA).
Matt enjoys skiing/snowboarding, camping, hiking, and visiting national parks with his family.
Marjorie has practiced marketing, business development/sales, communications and public relations since 2001, providing marketing solutions for small to medium privately-held businesses, large nonprofits and publicly traded companies. Marjorie has specialized in public accounting marketing since January 2017, when she joined SKR+CO as marketing director.
In her current role as marketing + growth director, Marjorie provides leadership for the long-term community engagement vision for the Firm and oversees marketing, community and client relations, creative design, advertising, internal communication and business development initiatives. Her specialties include integrated marketing communication, strategic and operations planning, emergency/crisis communication.
Marjorie currently serves on the Association of Accounting Marketer’s Virtual Education Committee, UCCS College of Business Marketing Advisory Board, CSBJ’s Rising Stars event committee, CSBJ’s Women of Influence event committee and PPUW’s Quality of Life Community Engagement committee; previously served the Mayor’s Sesquicentennial BBB Festival planning committee and The First Tee of Pikes Peak’s annual fundraising committee.
Marjorie volunteers with the southern Colorado chapter of FORCE, a national nonprofit dedicated to hereditary breast and ovarian cancer awareness and education, Sue’s Gift Gynecological Cancer Support and Care and Share Foodbank. Previously volunteered at the Springs Rescue Mission.
Marjorie is a member of the Association of Accounting Marketers (AAM), Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the J.G. Murray Foundation.
The Colorado Springs Business Journal recognized Marjorie with a Rising Star award in 2017 and as a Woman of Influence in 2021. Marjorie was a fellow of the Geiger Gibson Capstone Program in Health Policy for Health Center Leaders and a graduate of the National Association of Community Health Centers Grassroots Advocacy Leadership Program.
A Colorado Springs native and life-long learner, Marjorie enjoys staying active with friends and family, playing volleyball, yoga, paddle boarding, snowboarding, mountain biking, trail running, community engagement, volunteering, reading, writing and more.
Claudia has been in administration for public accounting since 2015.
