Mary joined the SKR+CO Team with nearly 20 years of progressive accounting experience. She has worked with a wide range of industries including not-for-profit organizations, technology companies, construction businesses, and energy corporations.
In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Mary has her Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation.
Professional + Community Involvement:
Mary is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) . Devoted to serving the children of Colorado, Mary has been a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) since 2017. In her free time, she also volunteers with the children’s program at her church, New Life Church.
Hobbies + Interests:
Mary enjoys the Colorado sunshine, travelling and a good book.
Jarred started his public accounting career as an intern at Stockman Kast Ryan + Company. He was asked to officially join our team after continuously demonstrating his adaptability, communication, and problem solving skills. Jarred has a background working in customer service and security.
Jarred is currently enrolled at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where he is working to obtain a bachelor’s degree in accounting and his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
Jarred enjoys spending time with his family, listening to audible books, and participating in outdoor activities.
Devon began her public accounting career when she joined the Stockman Kast Ryan + Company team at the beginning of 2023. She has a background working with real estate entities, property management companies and retail industries. Her experience includes customer service, in-house accounting, bookkeeping, management, payroll, sales tax filing and creating budgets.
Devon is involved in both a recreational hockey and volleyball league in Colorado Springs, CO. She is currently working to obtaining her QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certifications.
Devon is currently a QuickBooks Certified User Online.
Devon enjoys snowboarding, yoga, playing video games and trying new things.
Julie brings over three decades of accounting, consulting and administration experience to SKR+CO’s Client Advisory Team. She has experience working with a vast range of industries including medical + dental practices, small businesses and real estate entities.
Julie collaborates with clients at the Controller/CFO level to identify areas of improvement and build effective business plans to fulfill each client’s individual needs. Her areas of expertise include financial oversight and analysis, strategic planning, driving bottom-line improvements by integrating strategic and operational excellence and more.
Julie is a member of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA).
Julie enjoys biking, motorcycling and hiking with her husband and dogs.
Lewis began his public accounting career at Stockman Kast Ryan + Company in 2015. He specializes in audits and has experience working with industries such as construction, nonprofit organizations, employee benefits, small businesses, governmental entities + more.
Lewis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) + the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA) He also serves as the board treasurer for Family Promise of Colorado Springs.
Lewis enjoys traveling, spending time with his family + cooking.
Jared started his career in public accounting at Stockman Kast Ryan + Company in 2016. Before stepping into the role of Tax Operations Manager in 2022, Jared provided tax consultation to a number of industries such as real estate, financial institutions, corporations, partnerships, small businesses and more.
Prior to public accounting, Jared worked as a marketer and training manager within the food service industry. In this role he was responsible for maintaining training programs, franchise standards and assisting the management team with growing the presence of new or underperforming locations.
Jared is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA).
Jared enjoys hiking, basketball + comedy shows.
Austin joined the SKR+CO Team in 2021. His previous experience includes being the sole bookkeeper and staff accountant for two different nonprofit organization, processing payrolls, and working as an accounts receivable clerk. Outside of accounting, Austin has experience working in customer service, landscaping, and in the culinary arts.
Austin is currently pursuing his Master’s in Accounting at Colorado State University Global. He also an active member of North Springs Alliance Church.
Austin enjoys playing board games, cooking, hiking, and reading fiction books.
Lucy has been in bookkeeping since 1998 and began her public accounting career in 2015. Her industry knowledge includes transportation, construction, imports, manufacturing, real estate, repairs & maintenance, retail, restaurants, ranching and more. She has experience documenting business processes and teaching internal controls + bookkeeping to both clients and business owners.
Lucy speaks fluent Spanish and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor for both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
Lucy is a supporter of Shriner’s Hospital for Children, donates clothes to Dress for Success and volunteers her bookkeeping services to her family’s church.
Lucy enjoys gardening, long sunset walks and playing Uno with her friends and family.
Vickie has worked in the public accounting world for nearly two years and brings over two decades of banking experience to SKR+CO’s Client Advisory Team. She is a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and has her Xero Advisor Certification.
Professional + Community Involvement:
Vickie is working to obtain her second bachelor’s degree. She plans to graduate her Bachelor of Science in Accounting program in 2024.
Hobbies + Interests:
Vickie enjoys the outdoors, camping, reading, and trying new restaurants.
Justin started with SKRCO as an intern in 2018. He has experience working with real estate entities, construction companies, opportunity zone businesses and high-net worth individuals. Previous to joining SKR+CO, Justin worked as a laborer for a local construction company that specializes in the construction of Caissons.
Justin is a licensed Enrolled Agent.
Justin is currently a master’s of accounting candidate at University of Colorado Colorado Springs. In his spare time he volunteers as the wrestling coach for both Falcon High School and Falcon Middle School.
Justin enjoys coaching, rooting for his Pittsburgh sports teams and spending time with his family and friends.
